It's possible to walk to any point in the Pentagon in seven minutes!

The Pentagon is the headquarters of the US Department of Defense and is one of the most mysterious buildings in the country. Construction began for the building in 1941 and finished in 1943.  The building spans 28.7 acres and has an additional 5.1 acres of courtyard in the center. The design is highly intricate with concentric rings moving out from the center.  Each ring has a specific function and the rooms closer to the outside are generally saved for higher officials so they have an outside view.  The building was specifically designed for information to travel quickly from point to point. Should electricity or phone service go out, the building was purposely planned to allow a person to get to any point within seven minutes!
